Akhand Path begins at the Bhundar village gurdwara in remorse of sacrilege incident


Muktsar:  As per media report Sarabt Khalsa appointed jathedars and other Sikh organisations on in Saturday began ‘Akhand Path’ at the Bhundar village gurdwara, where a sacrilege incident had allegedly taken place recently.

The police had thereafter arrested two persons for trying to steal a ‘bir’ from the gurdwara. Those who visited the gurdwara on Saturday included parallel jathedar Amrik Singh Ajnala, Bhai Gurdeep Singh Bathinda and Ramandeep Singh Bhangchari.

It may be recalled that Sri Guru Granth Sahib’s sacrilege incident happened in village Bhoondarh of district Sri Mukatsar Sahib on April 22.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s female disciple and her brother-in-law had stolen the ‘bir’ of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and later the corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji has been recovered from the possession of the woman.
