Sarbat Da Bhala saves 14 Punjabis from death sentence in Dubai

Sarbat Da Bhala, trust rescued 14 Punjabi youths and one Bihari migrant from Dubai this month. But it could not get one of the youths, Dharamvir Singh, released as his case is yet to be settled.SP Singh Oberoi, head of the trust, said the youths were convicted for the killing of Varinder Singh Chauhan (38) from Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, and Mohammad Farhan from Pakistan in 2011 and 2015.

Jodhpur detainees: SGPC offers aid for legal battle

Apex Sikh body Sharomani Gurdwara Prabadhak Committee (SGPC) has offered free legal aid to Sikhs, who were illegally detained in Jodhpur jail after Army Attack on Sri Darbar Sahib in June 1984, to fight their case in the Punjab and Haryana High Court, if the Centre challenges the compensation awarded to them by a local court.
