Bhai Hawara was produced before the Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Tarsem Mangla through video conferencing from the Tihar Jail in Delhi.

It is pertinent to note that Bhai Hawara was indicted under sections 307, 353, 323, 186 and 120B of the IPC at the Badhni Klan police station in Nihal Singh Wala (a sub-division of the Moga district) on February 18, 2005 for attacking a head constable named Jasvir Singh.

The Court had fixed the case hearing for today to frame charges against Jathedar Hawara but the prosecution couldn’t present evidences backing its claims before the Court due to which the Court discharged him by absolving all the charges against him.

It is noteworthy here that the three others, who were also framed by the police in this case along with Jathedar Hawara, have been already discharged by the Court earlier.

At present confined in Tihar Jail Delhi and Delhi High Court rejected his application for shift in any Punjab jail, where many cases have pending against him.
