Amritsar: Dal Khalsa remembers Kashmir’s freedom fighter Janab Burhan Wani on his first martyrdom anniversary.
Party leaders H S Dhami and Kanwar Pal Singh while paying their respect to the departed soul said Kashmir’s brave-heart martyrdom has infused new life in the movement. A spark was needed to rekindle the spirit for freedom in Kashmir, said they and added that his death provided that spark.
“Burhan reverberates in the minds and emotions of the Kashmiri people, who love him, admire him and cherish his contribution to the just cause”, said they.
Expressing solidarity with the people of Kashmir, the leaders of pro-Sikh freedom group said the people of Punjab shares the pain and concerns of their next door neighbors.
They urged the world powers to break their studied silence, rise above their commercial interests and intervene to resolve the Kashmir dispute by granting the people their right to self determination.
