Chandigarh: Drug is the pivotal issue of Punjab politics in these days. BJP, Punjab Unit is organizing Run against Drug-Abuse followed by oath against the drugs in all the districts of Punjab on June 26 – The International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The State BJP president Vijay Sampla assigned duties to party leaders for conducting the symbols run. A senior leader will lead the run in each district.Sampla himself will lead in Mukerian.
National Vice President Avinash Khanna will lead in Hoshiarpur, former state ministers Manoranjan Kalia in Amritsar, Madan Mohan Mittal in Fatehgarh Sahib, Surjit Jyani in Ferozepur, Anil Joshi in Gurdaspur, Tikshan Sood in Jalandhar North and Arunesh Shakar in Pathankot, informed Secretary Punjab BJP, Vineet Joshi.
Core Group Member Dinesh Kumar will lead in Jalandhar (south), Rajinder Bhandari in Jalandhar, Ashwani Sharma in Ludhiana, Prof Brij Lal Rinwa in Bathinda (urban) and Kamal Sharma in Patiala, added Joshi.
State Vice Presidents Harjit Singh Grewal will lead in Muktsar, Archana Dutt in Barnala, Umesh Shakar in Faridkot, Rakesh Rathore in Kapurthala, Anil Sareen in Moga, Iqbal Singh Lalpura in Nawanshahar and Raj Kumar Pathi in Patiala (south).
State General Secretaries Kewal Kumar will lead in Amritsar (rural), Jiwan Gupta in Sangrur-1 and Manjit Singh Rai in Fazilka.
State Secretaries Vineet Joshi will lead in Mohali, Renu Thappar in Jagraon, Anil Sachhar in Khanna, Amandeep Punia in Mansa, Vijay Puri in Patiala (north), Subhash Sharma in Tarn Taran and Veeran Wali will lead jointly with Anil Joshi in Gurdaspur.
Media Secretary Diwan Amit Arora will lead in Ropar, State Treasurer Gurdev Sharma in Sangrur-2 and Joint State Treasurer Adarsh Bhatia in Batala.
