Fazilka soldier Sandeep Singh dies in Siliguri

Fazilka: A 24-year-old Army soldier, Sandeep Singh (24), of Mandi Roranwali of Fazilka district died in Siliguri in West Bengal on Saturday night. Family sources said Sandeep Singh had joined the Sikh Light Infantry Regiment of the Indian Army about three years ago.

When Sandeep Singh was patrolling with other soldiers, he fell unconscious all of a sudden and went into a coma about a week ago. He was shifted to the Army hospital in Kolkata.

Son of a mason, Sandeep Singh breathed his last on Saturday night in the hospital. His body was sent to Fazilka for last rites.He is survived by his parents and a brother.
