Amritsar: The situation became tense when SGPC appointed Jathdar Giani Gurbachan Singh started to address the Sikh masses on Ghallughara 1984 commemoration samagam at Akal Takhat.
As soon as Giani Gurbachan Singh began his address, slogans against him and pro Khalistan were raised.
The situation became tense when the parallel acting Akal Takht jathedar Dhyan Singh Mand tried to address the public from the ground floor of the Takht. Sources said they were denied the mic at the podium of the Takht. Their supporters broke the speakers which disrupted their address, notes in Hindustan Times.
Later, Sarbat Khalsa appointed Jatheadrs read out the message in front of the Akal Takht in the presence of Simranjeet Singh Mann.
As per tribune reports SAD (A) chief Simranjit Singh Mann and his supporters went to Yaadgar Shahidan to pay tributes. Amid pro-Khalistan slogans they paid tributes to the June 1984 ‘martyrs’.
