Gurmeet Ram Rahim’s female disciple booked for sacrilege incident of Sri Guru Granth Sahib

Sri Mukatsar Sahib: Yet in another incident of Sri Guru Granth Sahib’s sacrilege, a women and her brother-in-law stole the corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in village Bhoondarh of district Sri Mukatsar Sahib on April 22.

According to information availed with Report Punjab, the culprit lady is follower of Sirsa cult chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim who is serving life sentence in Rohtak jail for raping his female disciples. It has also come to fore that the culprit woman is wife of one of the Panchayat members of village Bhoondarh.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that the corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji has been recovered from the possession of the woman.

The CCTV footage of this sacrilege incident has gone viral over social media in which a lady could be seen removing corpus of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in a very disrespectful manner.

Activists of several Sikh organisations led by parallel jathedars Baljit Singh Daduwal and Amrik Singh Ajnala on Tuesday gheraoed Kotbhai police station in Gidderbaha, demanding strict action against those arrested for an attempt to steal Guru Granth Sahib from a gurdwara at Bhundar village.

They had demanded inclusion of Sections 120-B, 452, 153-A, 295-A of the IPC in the FIR, which the police agreed to. Later, they lifted the dharna.

They said an “akhand path” would be started at the gurdwara on April 28.
