Amritsar: As per media reports controversial Movie Nanak Shah Fakir producer Harinder Sikka received threatening calls and messages on social media.
According to The Tribune Sikka admitted that not only on the social media, he had been also receiving life threatening telephone calls.
He expressed resentment over the Akal Takht’s harsh decision of expelling him from the Panth without keeping him in loop. He claimed that at every step, he sought opinion and permission of the SGPC and the Akal Takht.
“I moved the court as my life’s earning and assets were at stake. How could I withdraw at the stage when the rights were sold to the distributors?
I volunteered to convince my distributors not to release it in Punjab.
Now, after the Akal Takht’s directions and caution note to the theatre owners, the film is not being screened in other states too. I am looking forward to the Supreme Court’s move on Monday,” he said.
