Police gets remand of Gurdev Singh Tanda for four more days


Amritsar: The local court extended police remand of Gurdev Singh Tanda for four more days. Gurdev Singh extradited from Thailand on charges of militancy.

His counsel Navjeet Singh told to media that after five days remand, police presented him before the court today and on police request the court extended his police remand for four more days. He said that the court has also ordered to the police that a medical examination should be done on every 24 hours.

It may be recalled that Tanda was arrested by Punjab police after the Thailand authority deport him. He was arrested and sent to jail in Thailand in a fake passport case. After being deport from Thailand, he was arrested by Punjab Police from Indra Gandhi International airport Delhi in case FIR no. 21/2010, registered under section 121, 121A, 120B IPC, Section 25 of Arms Act, section 4 and 5 of explosive Act and section 10, 11, 13, 17, 18 and 20 of Unlawful Activities Prevention Act.
