Punjab chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh attended Bogh ceremony of former DGP KPS Gill

New Delhi: As per media reports Punjab chief minister Capt. Amarinder Singh on Saturday attended the Bhog ceremony of former DGP KPS Gill at Constitution Club in New Delhi.

Gill, had succumbed to a kidney ailment on May 26 at the age of 82.

“At the Bhog ceremony of ex-DGP KPS Gill ji, feeling sad at the passing of an era, we can never forget what he did for us in Punjab,” he wrote on his face book account.

Former Punjab minister and BJP leader Laxmi Kanta Chawla, who also attended the bhog ceremony, described Gill as “Punjab ka Jarnail (general), a protector of Punjab and who slayed terrorism”.

Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, former Punjab Police chief Paramdeep Singh Gill, and a number of serving and retired police and civil officers, attended the bhog ceremony at Constitution Club in New Delhi.

It may be notable that some prominent Sikh personality and Sarbat Khalsa appointed jathedars  warned Sikh priests against performing last rites of the known Butcher of Punjab KPS Gill.

He has been implicated in the mass murder of thousands and maintenance of the culture of impunity and even torturing and murdering those same human rights fighters that attempted to expose his heinous crimes.
