During Home Minister Sri Darbar Sahib visit, SGPC submitted memorandum carrying various demands including the speedy disposal of pending petition of Bhai  Rajona who was awarded death penalty for assassinating the then serving chief Minister Punjab Beant Singh.

Gobind Singh Longowal raised the demand for immediate release of Sikh prisoners lodged in the different states of the nation for the past several years.
