Amritsar: As per media reports that SGPC’c executive body meeting will be held at Fatehgarh Sahib. The issue of controversial appointments during the erstwhile regime may find a place on the agenda of the SGPC’s upcoming executive body meeting. SGPC’s president Gobind Singh Longowal said that the meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow at Fatehgarh Sahib.
Other issues likely on the agenda are matters related to propagation of religion, providing medical aid to those living in the remote rural border belt and budget-related matters. “We are expecting the submission of a report by a sub-committee over some appointments made during the previous body.
Out of 500 appointments, the committee has raised doubts over at least 100 appointments.“Other issues will be to expedite the Sikh missionary centres located outside the state to propagate Sikhism.
We have already announced the introduction of mobile medical vans to reach needy people in remote rural areas. The budget sub-committee may submit its report tomorrow for our initiatives. The annual budget date too is expected to be fixed tomorrow,” Longowal said.
