Amritsar: Sikh body Sharomani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Amritsar (SGPC) launched its monthly  magazine ‘Sewa Sargarmiya’. SGPC chief Gobind Singh Longowal on Friday released the first edition of monthly magazine ‘Sewa Sargarmiya’ to highlight its activities.

He said that the magazine would highlight various works being carried out by the SGPC and programmes being held under the Dharm Prachar Lehar. “The objective is to reach the maximum numbers among the Sikh sangat and link them to religious activities,” he said.

On a separate matter, he posted a communiqué to Union External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to impress upon the Australian Government to prevent the setting up of a chemical fertiliser mixing plant close to Gurdwara Singh Sabha Yugali. The SGPC had been approached by the management of the gurdwara to raise the demand.
