Amritsar: SGPC probe panel investigated Punjabi movie ‘Super Singh’, in which holiest Sikh shrine Sri Harmandir Sahib and supreme Sikh throne Sri Akal Takht Sahib have offended.
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) to look further into the matter, had constituted a four member committee.
‘Super Singh’ is a Punjabi film directed & written by Anurag Singh. The movie was released worldwide on 16 June 2017 which stars Punjabi actors Diljit Dosanjh and Sonam Bajwa.
As per reports, Prof. Kirpal Singh Badungar said that the panel has watched the movie and the SGPC is awaiting their report.
“We had received complaints in written about objectionable content in movie ‘Super Singh’. We are now awaiting full report by the investigation committee,” he told Sikh24.
SGPC executive members Bhai Ram Singh, SGPC member Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, SGPC Vice-Secretary Simarjit Singh and Coordinator Sukhdev Singh had been appointed in the probe panel.
